Lothar Barck

Lothar Hermann Heinrich Barck (born January 15, 1880 in Danzig ; died January 1, 1957 in Munich ) was a German political scientist . As a ministerial advisor , he was head of the police department in the Baden Ministry of the Interior.

Life

He was the son of the Danzig bank director Johannes Barck and his wife Alice nee Behrent. After attending grammar school, Lothar Bark studied at the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Munich and Heidelberg as well as at the technical universities of Karlsruhe and Munich. He received his doctorate as Dr. oec. publ.

After a legal internship, he became a government assistant and later a police officer in Baden-Baden. For a few years he went to the Reich capital Berlin as a councilor . When he returned to Baden, he became a senior councilor and later a ministerial advisor in the Baden Ministry of the Interior. As such, he was the organizer of the Baden security system in the Weimar Republic .

He was a member of the German Democratic Party, which was dissolved in 1933 . In April 1933 he was dismissed from the Baden civil service on the basis of Section 4 of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service, especially since he was also accused of the police actions against National Socialists in the period before 1933. In May 1944 he succeeded in being re-employed with the rank of clerk at the Bavarian government president in Munich. However, he did not actually start work.

On February 5, 1927, he married Lisa Münch, the widowed daughter of the editor-in-chief and writer Albert Herzog .
