Lothar Fischer (lawyer)

Lothar Fischer (* 1955 in Neu-Eichenberg ) is a German judge and honorary professor .

Life

Fischer studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1975 to 1980 . After the state examination, he was a research assistant at the University of Osnabrück from 1981 to 1983 . In 1984 he received his doctorate there as Dr. iur. with the dissertation The material requirements for exclusion from the association . From 1983 he completed his legal clerkship at the Kassel Regional Court and in 1986 the second state examination. Then he was a lawyer in Kassel .

In 1991 Fischer became a judge at the Kassel Administrative Court and also a member of the Chamber for Building Land Matters at the Kassel Regional Court. In 1997 he was appointed judge at the Hessian Administrative Court in Kassel , and from 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the Senate for building land matters at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main . From 2011 to 2014 he was Vice President of the Kassel Administrative Court and, from 2012, a deputy member of the State Court of Hesse . He has been presiding judge at the Hessian Administrative Court since 2015 and a full member of the State Court since 2017.

Fischer has been a lecturer at the University of Kassel since 1999 and honorary professor since 2005 . Since 2010 he has also been a deputy member of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board at the highest nature conservation authority of the State of Hesse and from 2001 to 2010 he was a member of the Standing Conference 1 Youth Law with a focus on child and youth welfare law at the German Institute for Youth Welfare and Family Law. V. in Heidelberg. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Conference on Nature Conservation Law.
