Lothar Kern

Lothar Kern (born December 14, 1920 in Heilbronn ; † September 11, 1996 in Upper Bavaria ) was a German actor on stage, film and television and a theater director.

Live and act

Kern had performed at the Tegernseer Volkstheater , founded by his grandfather, from an early age, and had developed into a popular Bavarian folk actor there. After marrying Amalie Helfrich, who from then on called herself Amsi Kern , the two shared the management of this family stage and (since 1964) that of the Chiemgauer Volkstheater . Lothar Kern also went on tours and guest tours with some of his pieces. Some popular theater pieces such as Der Saisongockel mit Kern in the leading role were also broadcast on German television. Kern's other TV roles were based on his Bavarian stage characters such as in the original Bavarian series Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht and The Strange Methods of Franz Josef Wanninger .
