Lothra is a district of Drognitz in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district . The fulfilling municipality for Drognitz is the municipality of Kaulsdorf in Thuringia .
Geography and geology
Lothra is located south of Drognitz on a high plateau of the southeast Thuringian slate mountains to the left of the Hohenwarte reservoir of the Saale . The usable areas of this mountain range have a stable soil fertility due to the high proportion of fine soil and the humus content. The district is connected to road traffic via the L1100.
history
Lothras was first mentioned on April 7, 1310. Located on the once busy Lobenstein – Pößneck trade route, there were two manors. A mansion still exists. Lothra belonged to the Reussian "Herrschaft Ebersdorf ", which at times belonged to the lines Reuss-Lobenstein and Reuss-Ebersdorf . In 1848 the place came to the Principality of Reuss Younger Line (from 1852 to the Schleiz District Office ) and in 1919 to the People's State of Reuss . Lothra has belonged to Thuringia since 1920. The church goes back in part to a Romanesque previous building. On April 6, 1994 Lothra was incorporated into Drognitz.
