The Lotter Beeke is a left tributary of the Hase in the Emsland.

location

Lotter Beeke begins in the municipality of Andervenne . From here it flows in a northerly direction through the municipalities of Lengerich and Gersten to flow into the Hase between the Haselünner districts Lotten and Hamm. It belongs to the water type of sand-shaped lowland streams.

ecology

As a result of the 2018 drought and heat wave, numerous fish perished in the almost dried-up Lotter Beeke. The fish could not find a place to retreat in the almost dried out beekeys and perished in the oxygen-poor water.
