The community of Andervenne is located on the B 214 between Freren and Fürstenau and about 20 km east of the Ems and the city of Lingen on the south side of the Lingener Höhe . The southeastern shore of the Saller See lies in the territory of the municipality of Andervenne.

history

The village (Anderveni) was first mentioned in a document around 1000. Today's municipality of Andervenne was created on March 1, 1974 through the merger of the municipalities of Andervenne, Niederdorf and Andervenne, Oberdorf .

The area around the Saller See in the north-west of the municipality was expanded into a “ skike park” in 2008 . The skike park is the oldest of its kind in Germany.

The largest association in the municipality of Andervenne is SV Heidekraut Andervenne . It has around 500 members. Around 300 athletes of all ages are active in eight different fields. In addition to football, the club offers karate , children's gymnastics , volleyball , women's sports , walking , Monday sports for men and table tennis .
