Lou Del Valle (* 13 July 1968 in Long Iceland City , New York , USA ) is an American former boxer and world champion of the association WBA in the light heavyweight division .

He won his first 22 fights and suffered his first bankruptcy in his 23rd fight against Virgil Hill , in which it was a question of the WBA world title. In 1997 he won the vacant world championship of the WBA association with a technical knockout victory in round eight. The following year it came with the WBC world champion Roy Jones to the title union. Del Valle had to admit defeat clearly and unanimously on points in this battle.

On August 8, 2001, he competed again against Bruno Girard for the WBA world championship belt, which had become vacant in the meantime, and only achieved one draw, which meant that the title remained vacant.
