Louis Barbarin
Louis Barbarin (* 24. October 1902 in New Orleans ; † 12. May 1997 ) was an American jazz - drummer .
Louis Barbarin was the son of the brass player Isidore Barbarin ( Onward Brass Band ) and brother of the drummer Paul Barbarin (1901-1969). He kicked u. a. with John Robichaux , Buddy Petit , Punch Miller , Jim Robinson and George Lewis ; from 1937 he played with Papa Celestin . Barbarin worked in the field of jazz from 1951 to 1981 with 61 recording sessions.
