Louis Lament is an independent and funk rock group from Cologne .

history

In 2005, the former organ player Pilo Lenger, as a future drummer, looked for a guitarist and a bassist through a newspaper advertisement, and in this way found his future bandmates Brian Ramirez and Stefan Schoo. At a private party he later met the label founder of TV Eye Records, Frank Popp , and was able to convince him of the quality of the band.

At the beginning of 2007 a first single was recorded (produced by Jem ), which was released in May of that year shortly before a small tour of Germany. In 2008 Louis Lament toured Germany with headliner Mother Tongue as part of the Dog & Pony Show . Shortly afterwards the EP On Fire was released . Their debut album Golden Fleece was released on April 24, 2009. In October 2009, the band made a guest appearance alongside Oliver Korittke in a spot for Beck’s Music Experience.
