Louis Muller

Louis Müller , also Ludwig Müller (born March 30, 1812 in Sonneberg ; † May 2, 1889 there ), was a German entrepreneur and politician.

Life

The son of a paper mache manufacturer studied law at the University of Jena from 1828 to 1833 . In 1830 he was briefly expelled from the university due to his membership in the Corps Franconia Jena and placed under police supervision.

In 1834, Müller joined his father's factory, which he later became owner.

During the March Revolution , Müller became the commander of the civil guard in Sonneberg. From November 16, 1848 to April 16, 1849 he represented his hometown as Richard Liebmann's successor in the Frankfurt National Assembly . There he was a member of the Württemberger Hof parliamentary group and the Central March Association .

In 1850 Müller became a member of the state parliament of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen and the Sonneberg municipal council. At the same time he took over the chairmanship of the local chamber of commerce. In 1859 he was one of the co-founders of the German National Association . The city of Sonneberg granted him honorary citizenship .
