Louis Schmeisser

Louis Schmeisser (born February 5, 1848 in Zöllnitz near Jena , † March 23, 1917 in Suhl ) was a German weapons designer. The development and production of pistols and machine guns at the Theodor Bergmann Waffenfabrik in the period up to the First World War are closely associated with his name . Louis Schmeisser is the father of the weapons designers Hugo Schmeisser (1884–1953) and Hans Schmeisser .
