Louis Velle

Louis Velle (born May 29, 1926 in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt , Île-de-France ) is a French actor and screenwriter .

Life

Louis Velle's career as an actor began in 1946 with a role in the play La Sainte Famille by André Roussin , staged by Jean Meyer at the Paris Théâtre Saint-Georges .

His film career began with a role in Agence matrimoniale, produced in 1951, and includes around 75 roles, often for television. He also wrote some scripts with his wife, Frédérique Hébrard . One of the jointly created series is La demoiselle d'Avignon (1972), in which Louis Velle played the main male role alongside Marthe Keller . Also in 1972 he played the leading role alongside Alexandra Stewart in the six-part L'Homme qui revient de loin . In 1973 Louis Velle starred in the Docteur Caraïbes series . In 1979 he was Raner hero of the adventure series L'Étrange Monsieur Duvallier : As a former gangster who is believed to be dead, Raner takes on the features of an old and wealthy businessman in order to become a philanthropist. Only his secretary ( Sabine Azéma ) knows Ranger's secret.

In addition, he wrote scripts and is active as a voice actor. Velle is also known as a stage actor.

Velle's son Nicolas is a film producer .

Velle played his last role so far in the soap opera Les châtaigniers du désert .
