Alexandra Stewart (born June 10, 1939 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Alexandra Stewart came to Paris from Montreal in 1957 to study painting and art history at the École du Louvre and the Académie Julian . She worked as a model, advertised all sorts of products on advertising posters and soon became the cover of the fashion magazine Elle .

In 1959 she appeared in a French feature film. Initially a semistar of the Nouvelle Vague , her roles grew from film to film. In 1960 she played the leading female role in the adventure film Risky Pastime at the side of Jean-Paul Belmondo and Claude Brasseur , and Otto Preminger gave her a role in his refugee drama Exodus . In the course of her career, she has appeared in over 100 feature films and television films in French, American, German, Austrian, Italian, British, Dutch, Canadian, Chilean, Brazilian and Argentinian productions. With SOS Missing , she received her own series on French television in the late 1980s.
