Reviews

"Tastefully photographed, unimaginatively staged melodrama in the style of a sprawling video clip, which the pop star Prince in the personal union of director / leading actor / composer only serves as a platform for vain self-reflection."

"With its flat story, the film could not successfully follow in the footsteps of» Purple Rain «..."

"In addition, there is still time for his film directorial debut" Under the Cherry Moon ", a nice homage to the black and white comedies of the thirties and forties, which unjustifiably failed the audience and critics."
