action

Young Eva once inherited shares in a company from her grandmother. With the interest, she finances the APO community “Red October”, to which she and twelve other people belong. Suddenly, however, the shares lose value due to manipulation by the banker Thomas Nathan Terbanks, so that the interest is no longer sufficient to finance municipalities. Eva protesting in their way against capitalism : only with boots and Muff Bank it appears in the Supervisory Board meeting of Terbanks'. She slaps Terbanks' deputy on the assumption that they were Terbanks. The latter, in turn, was not impressed by Eva's appearance, ended the session and left the room with the others.

Some time later, Terbanks receives a visit from his lover Celeste, who draws his attention to Eva and her colleagues' pirate channels . In it, the young woman railed against Terbanks and his company and called for people to get their money from the bank and rather to leave it in the piggy bank. Soon the partners of Terbanks become aware of the station, which accuses Terbanks of financing weapons, among other things. Since Terbanks' good reputation begins to suffer, he finances the construction of an orphanage without further ado and has the ship on which the transmitter is moored blown up via third men. Eva wants to find out if he was involved and throws herself in front of his car. Terbanks, who has taken a liking to Eva, buys her clothes, pretends to be a bit revolutionary, but tries to blackmail her in the end so that she leaves. A little later, on Terbanks' ship, she finds all the utensils needed to operate a transmitter. Terbanks offers it to her on the condition that he will write the texts that she is supposed to read. Outraged, Eva jumps from the ship, but is pulled back on board by Terbanks' men. He brings her to his property so that she can dry her things. Here Eva makes the acquaintance of Celeste, who lends her clothes and admits that she has been on Terbanks' "hit list" for a long time, because over time he loses interest in his lover. Terbanks' meanwhile has a decadent dinner served, shows off gold and caviar and wants to convince Eva of the advantages of capitalism. She eats the caviar and later defends herself from the Communards, saying that her form of protest takes a different path. She is expelled from the commune.

Eva tries to set up a new black channel with Celeste. They pool their shares in the company, with whose operation they could set up a broadcaster if they hold a majority of the shares. You are teaming up with Finance Minister Moore and the head of the Chinese trade mission Wan Tan. They both sell Eva their shares before Terbanks can buy them back. Eva can be bought by Terbanks at the same time, so that in the future she will only run what has been approved by him over the transmitter. She donates part of the money to the municipality. In the end, Eva, Celeste, Ms. Moore and Wan Tan have the majority of the shares. They therefore decide to reactivate the company and to lead it to its purpose, the "evaluation of electromechanical and electronic transmission technologies with regard to a broadcast license". Until this license is granted, the three women are allowed to broadcast their programs via his station with Terbanks' permission. In addition to songs and commercials, Eva soon began to rail against Terbanks and his bank, with Celeste and Lady Moore trying in vain to stop them. Meanwhile, the commune tries not to repeat old mistakes, but cannot avoid Eva's successor also trying to attract attention through naked protest.

criticism

"A satirical attempt that revels in pop colors, is not particularly witty and falls far short of its own standards," said the film service . The Protestant film observer came to a similar verdict: “Funny, but ultimately quite non-binding parody of the (unsuccessful) attempt by the left of the commune to cure a big banker from capitalism. The radical revolutionary bride, who initially tried to frighten the establishment with complete nudity, eventually becomes a capitalist herself. "
