Wolf Wirth

Wolf Wirth (born July 30, 1928 in Nuremberg , † June 30, 2005 in Munich ; born Wolfgang Wirth ) was a German cameraman .

He completed his photography training and worked as a freelance photographer from 1948. In 1954, Wirth first worked as a camera assistant at Rolf Thieles Sie . In the same year he began his career as a cameraman with short and documentary films.

In the 1960s, Wirth continued to work as chief cameraman mainly with director Rolf Thiele, but he was also hired by representatives of the New German Cinema . In 1962 he received for his camera work in the bread of the early years , the German Film Award in 1964, he was the same award for password: Egret awarded.

From the mid- 1970s , Wirth turned completely to advertising. As a signatory of the Oberhausen Manifesto , he received the third gold film volume in 1982 because of his services to German film.
