occupation

Undine 74 is a German-Austrian feature film by Rolf Thiele , a modernization of the well-known story Undine by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué .

action

Undine is a water creature, through and through, who knows nothing about earthly life on the land or human feelings. The longing for human life will one day drive them out of the sea. She is looking for human existence, for what is commonly called "love". But the first experiences with the men are rather sobering. You, who desire Rolf Thieles from a modern Undine, only want to give sex, not love. One of them, a little sensitive rocker, takes it unrestrained on his motorcycle at full speed.

But for a new existence for which his soul has to be given, she needs the sacrifice of a truly loving man who is willing to pay with his life to save her. Hans, a simple but honest man, seems to be the right one. Hans is able to love, but will he also be ready to give the sacrifice of his own life? The five days that Hans was supposed to wait for Undine's requests are five years in human life. When Undine returns to him, tired of the eternal waiting, Berta is in the meantime engaged to Berta, and she is becoming increasingly jealous of Undine's appearance ...
