Temptation in the summer breeze is a German company comedy from 1972. Directed by Rolf Thiele play, led by Helmut Käutner , a wealth of renowned international actor: the Swiss Paul Hubschmid , the Austrian Christiane Hörbiger and the French with British adopted home Yvonne Furneaux , the hereby made her last movie for many years.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Bomhard, an elderly surgeon, only reverently called "The Professor" by everyone, is planning a love trip to South America with his much younger lover Renate. He hires three friends, with whom he usually likes to make music, to look after his wife Claudia, who is also much younger. Karl-Maria, Federico and Bernhard should take care of his wife while she is on a Mediterranean cruise. Claudia Bomhard, who has her underage daughter with her, takes revenge on her husband by making the men her lover one after the other.

Production notes

Temptation in the Summer Wind was created from August to mid-September 1972 in Munich (studio recordings) and Portofino (outdoor recordings) and was premiered on December 28, 1972 in Murnau.

It is one of the few late appearances by star director Helmut Käutner in front of the camera for a movie.

Sandie Shaw sings the songs Sommerwind and Bella Bambina .

Ina Stein designed the costumes . Franz Seitz , who works here as a screenwriter under his frequently used pseudonym Georg Laforet , was also the line producer for the film produced by Fix and Foxi editor Rolf Kauka . Georg Föcking took over the production management.

criticism

The Lexicon of International Films found that this film "was too focused on effects and too constructed to give the ironic punch lines a comedic effect."
