Anita Mally

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anita Mally (born December 10, 1948 in Bad Steben ; † May 30, 1999 ) was a German actress , writer , screenwriter and Scientologist .

Acting and writing

The slim, pale blonde Bavarian woman was brought in front of the camera by producer Franz Seitz in the early 1970s and used as a pretty, friendly and likeable eye-catcher with supporting supporting roles. Anita Mally initially played good school girls and lively friends of the male protagonist, but also played nice, decent girls from next door and secretaries. A little later she also received guest roles in popular ZDF series productions. In the course of the late 1970s, the film offerings decreased, and Anita Mally switched to writing. She wrote numerous novels, some of them very soulful to sentimental, and wrote several scripts for similarly positioned, pleasing, but artistically hardly ambitious television productions.

Scientology careers

In the 1980s, Anita Mally turned to Scientology, later moved to Los Angeles , where she became intensely involved in the sect. Most recently, she achieved the status of Operating Thetan Level VIII, the highest level within the Scientology career ladder. Her work there also had an impact on her literary work. Among other things, Mally provided the German translation What is Scientology? of the American original L. Ron Hubbard , Scientology propaganda elements were used especially in their scripts for the ZDF series Insel der Träume . In Renate Hartwig's book Scientology - I Accuse! it says in section "9.3 .: Auditing on ZDF ":

“The program 'Die Trauminsel' shows how people travel to an island because they cannot deal with negative experiences. A doctor lives on this island and he first talks to these people [...] The same grid is used for auditing. Because auditing is supposedly used by Scientologists to resolve negative experiences ('engrams of aberrations'). An auditing assistant (this would correspond to the role of the doctor) leads the 'pre-clear' (i.e. a person who has not yet reached the state of 'clear' with the Scientologists) back into his past with the help of auditing [...] "

At a later point it continues:

“The script was written by Anita Mally, a senior Scientologist. Anita Mally has reached the level of “Operating Thetan VIII” among Scientologists [for comparison: Tom Cruise was OT VII in July 2007] and supports the international association of Scientologists IAS. She herself says of the IAS that she helps wherever it is necessary for Scientology to fight the enemy on the front line. "

As can be read at the same point, the ZDF had already been informed of Mally's connections to Scientology in November 1991, but did not take any action.

“In a letter to ZDF's main programming department, an ex-Scientologist warned against continuing to broadcast the series 'Trauminsel'. Scientology awareness-raising technology is built into the broadcast. "
