action

The story is about the Munich veterinarian Dr. Georg Rauh and his erotic-amorous relationships with women. None of them suspect that she is just one of many in Rauh's life. When two of the deeply disappointed lovers out of hurt vanity and hurt pride join forces against the faithless lover, a bloody act of revenge ensues.

The pretty Munich-based Andrea and Simone are two very different friends who complement each other perfectly in their natures. Both are united by their inflated self-assessment, their narcissism, their self-love. They only expect the best from men so that they can meet their extremely high standards. Andrea is studying German at the university, Simone, who is a little older, is already working and producing reports for television. As part of a trip to Paris, the two young women visit the celebrity cemetery Père Lachaise and come across the tomb of Abelard and Heloise there . She is fascinated by the story of this famous, tragic pair of lovers from the 12th century and never lets go of them.

Back in Munich, Simone prepares a report about the university veterinary clinic and meets Georg Rauh while doing research. Contrary to expectations, the smart veterinarian can meet her high standards towards men, which is why she introduces him to Andrea. When the three of them go on a joint excursion, the girls subject Georg to a “quality check”, asking him a multitude of questions as part of a seemingly harmless-looking, amusing cross-examination. Georg passes this test brilliantly, he answers all your questions easily. Simone then instinctively decides for him and becomes Georg's new friend. However, since Simone and Andrea always appeared as Siamese twins in the end, Andrea is soon also involved and gradually pushes himself between the two, not even with bad intentions. In the end, she too ends up in Georg's arms without a break between the two girls. Although anything but happy about it, after some grumbling, Simone is still ready to accept Andreas's intervention, because her friendship with Andrea means everything to her.

But Georg is different from the (ideal) image that Andrea and Simone projected onto him. Up to now women have meant something uncomplicated to him, a nice pastime, nothing very serious. The exaggeration that Andrea and Simone practice when choosing a partner is completely alien to him. And so it happens that Georg knows the actress Nana and both eventually come together and become a couple. On a love trip across Ireland Georg and Nana spend carefree days in a gypsy wagon. Both feel that more can and will grow out of this affair. At home in Munich, Andrea and Simone find out about the new competition and are beside themselves with anger, primarily due to the feeling of deep personal hurt. They see in Georg's behavior nothing more than a shameful betrayal of their ideals and feelings and thereby damage their excessive ego and self-love. Out of the feeling of impotent anger, both increase each other into a bloody fantasy of revenge.

When Georg returns from Ireland, they confront him in the veterinary clinic's operating room. The girls remember Abelard and his story of suffering. What was it once called? "... and they cut off the limb with which I had committed what was not right for them!" Conveniently, surgical instruments and anesthetics are readily available. With a scalpel they emasculate the faithless lover. When Simone and Andrea have to answer for their crime in court, they defend their bloodshed with quotations from Abelard's letters. With a mendacious and infamous appeal to Nana's generosity and decency, they can also persuade her not to leave her castrated friend and significant other.

Reviews

“The abstruse story is told in flashbacks during a court hearing. A stretched drama trimmed with kitsch on the level of a magazine. "
