Heinz Schnackertz

Heinz Schnackertz (born May 12, 1911 in Cologne , † March 4, 1990 in Munich ; born Heinrich Schnackertz ) was a German cameraman .

Schnackertz received his photography training in the late 1920s and worked as a photo reporter and camera assistant . His first film as responsible cameraman was a short film about the city of Munich in 1938.

Feature films followed as a co-cameraman at Bavaria Film at the side of Carl Hoffmann , and from autumn 1941 Schnackertz acted as the sole chief cameraman. After the end of the war he continued his work in Munich, where he made numerous homeland films and comedies in the 1950s. For some time he was 2nd chairman of the Club of German Cinematographers. After 1965 he was only used once in a film.
