Peter Vogel (born March 22, 1937 in Munich , † September 21, 1978 in Vienna ) was a German actor .

Life

Peter Vogel was the son of the actor Rudolf Vogel . His acting career began when he was seventeen when he played one of the students in The Flying Classroom . As a theater actor he moved from Hamburg to the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, where he also directed.

His portrayal as the "first" Kottan in the controversial ORF series is particularly remembered . He played his last film role in the American television series Holocaust - The Story of the Weiss Family .

Peter Vogel was the father of Michael and Nikolas Vogel . He was married to Gertraud Jesserer , but lived separately from her in the end. He was in a relationship with Erika Pluhar until shortly before his suicide with pentazocine . He was buried in Munich in the old Bogenhausen cemetery with his parents (grave wall left No. 46).
