While fishing in the harbor, Fritz meets the millionaire John Stone and pays him, who has no cash with him, a penalty for black fishing. As a thank you he is invited by Mr. Stone to his villa, where wild parties and poker games are the order of the day, of course at the expense of the rich landlord. After Fritz, thanks to his knowledge of foreign languages, saved the overly good faith millionaire from a fraud, he asks him for assistance in order to regain control of his own house. Fritz Meyer actually succeeds in removing all the unnecessary and ungrateful parasites from Mr. Stone's house within a short time.

When Edith, who has followed her fiancé, suddenly arrives at the villa, it comes to heartache and confusion of love, because her Fritz is apparently planning to marry Stone's daughter Silvia.
