Gertraud Jesserer
Gertraud Jesserer (born December 13, 1943 in Vienna ; † December 9, 2021 in Vienna) was an Austrian film and castle actress .
Live and act
Despite her incomplete training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar , which she left in 1959, Jesserer got a small film role alongside Romy Schneider at the age of 15 and made her debut in Molnár's Liliom at the Josefstadt in 1960 , of which she was a member until 1969. After four years at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg (1969 to 1973) she returned to Vienna and was a member of the Burgtheater from 1974 . As an actress, she also appeared in numerous cinema and television films; so among other things as Gerda in the television series Leitner family .
In 1986 she was awarded the title of Chamber Actress, and in 1998 she received the Johann Nestroy Ring .
She was married to the actor Peter Vogel and has two children. She had been separated from Vogel for a long time when he committed suicide in 1978. Her son Nikolas Vogel died in June 1991 as a war correspondent (camera) during a bombing at the airport in Ljubljana (together with Norbert Werner ). Gertraud Jesserer died in December 2021, four days before her 78th birthday, in an apartment fire in Vienna- Alsergrund . Two other people were injured in the fire.
