Life

Hermann J. Huber, HJH for short, as he liked to abbreviate himself, was born in 1954 in Moosbach, Bavaria. He attended the Augustinus Humanistic High School in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate . During his school days, he became the state chairman of the Bavarian Student Union . After graduating from high school, he studied Catholic theology and history at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1976 he ran as the youngest German candidate for the Bundestag. From 1977 to 1981 he was national chairman of the youth press association Media and Youth in Germany . As a journalist he was editor-in-chief of the magazines die alternative and Der Blickpunkt . From the 1980s onwards he published 14 books as an author.

The book Leben, Lieben, Legenden from 1989, in which prominent homosexuals were portrayed in German-speaking countries for the first time, caused a sensation thanks to the Bild headlines . The trigger of the scandal was the listing of pop singer Rex Gildo . Huber, who was also homosexual himself, died of a heart attack on July 28, 2009 in Moosbach .

The passionate collector left behind an extensive photo archive, a large collection of materials and books as well as several thousand video cassettes and DVDs with gay pornography .
