Stefanie

Stefanie in Rio is a German movie romance from the year 1960. Directed by Kurt Bernhardt takes Sabine Sinjen her title role in the film from 1958 again. This time too, Carlos Thompson is her film partner.

action

The story follows on from the 1958 film Stefanie : Stefanie has finally succeeded in her efforts to love Pablo, and the man who, considering his age, could well be her father, begins to show serious interest in her. Stefanie's eldest brother Hannes, the business friend of the handsome Brazilian, is still not enthusiastic about this liaison. Stefanie, now an orphan, wants to finish school and then live with her great love. During her high school graduation, Stefanie, who is now of legal age, explains to the headmaster what she plans to do in her future life, that she wants to get married. The teenager last saw her prospective husband two years ago, who had absolutely nothing to burn before they both lived together, as Pablo has since returned to his family in Rio de Janeiro. But now he is honking his horn in front of the school to bring her to him forever.

Stefanie now stops in Germany and travels with her dream man to his hometown. Hannes and Stefanie's younger brother Andreas have some concerns that Pablo is taking the actually completely inexperienced girl to Brazil to spend his life with her there. And so Hannes follows the two of them. Because Hannes, who has felt responsible for Stefanie since the death of his parents, does not want to give his consent to marriage until he has convinced himself of Pablo's honesty. In the city on the Sugar Loaf Mountain, he meets Pablo's family, but also his jealous ex-girlfriend Isabella, who tries to break the young happiness apart. Hannes falls in love with hot-blooded Isabella, while Pablo introduces Stefanie to his family. During his stay in Brazil, Hannes, who is supposed to be instrumentalized by Isabelle for her devious intentions, realizes that Pablo is obviously serious about his little sister. Stefanie and Pablo still have to overcome a few hurdles before they finally reach their happy ending.
