Rainer Penkert

Rainer Penkert (born June 23, 1921 in Berlin ; † April 11, 2012 in Munich ) was a German theater and film actor .

Life

Penkert took acting lessons from Hilde Körber and then received his first stage roles. As a Primaner Bierlinger he made his film debut in Our Miss Doctor in 1940 with Jenny Jugo in the title role.

After the end of the war, Penkert was seen on theaters in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart and Hamburg. In 1958 he was a contributor to the Munich laughing and shooting society in their television program Eine kleine Machtmusik .

In the film, the tall, slim actor was seen in various supporting roles, for example as a lieutenant or first lieutenant Wedelmann in the soldier film 08/15 (1954) and its sequel 08/15 - In War . He also took on relatively often soldier roles, including that of the resisting ship's officer Milkereit in Bernhard Wicki's key word Morituri (1964).

In later years Penkert also worked as an antique dealer.
