The Louisa River is a river in the Kimberley region in the north of the Australian state of Western Australia .
geography
The river rises about twelve kilometers northwest of the small town of Moongardie , which is halfway between Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek on the Great Northern Highway . It flows northwest along the Sparke Range . Below Mount Krauss , the Louisa River flows into the Margaret River .
