Peter Krausser

Peter Kraußer (born December 15, 1941 in Crawinkel , Gotha district ) is a former functionary of the SED in the GDR .

Life

The son of a bricklayer joined the FDJ in 1956 and, after finishing the polytechnic high school, began studying for lower-level teachers, educators and diploma teachers for history at the Institute for Teacher Education (IfL) Nordhausen and at the Karl Liebknecht University of Education . Afterwards he was a teacher at the special school in Luckwitz between 1960 and 1964 and became a member of the SED in 1961. After Krausser was secretary of the FDJ district leadership Hagenow from 1964 to 1965 , he became an instructor in the central council of the FDJ.

Between 1965 and 1968 Krausser did his military service in the National People's Army (NVA) and after completion he was first an instructor again and then from 1971 to 1977 deputy head of the Propaganda Department in the Central Council of the FDJ. During this time he completed his 1973 promotion to Dr. phil. and also graduated from the Karl Marx party college from 1976 to 1977 .

He then worked from 1977 to 1988 and then, as the successor to Rudi Bellmann, head of the working group on church issues of the Central Committee of the SED . He held this position until the dissolution of the SED in December 1989.
