Louise Kachel-Bender
Louise Kachel-Bender , née Louise Bender , ( December 7, 1847 in Karlsruhe - October 25, 1916 in Munich ) was a German theater actress .
Life
She had scarcely left the secondary school for girls when she began to flirt with the theater and, stimulated by the achievements of Heinrich Marr , Ludwig Dessoir , and August Förster , felt more and more drawn to the stage.
Eduard Devrient , however, primarily influenced her training , to whom the artist owes her sense of finding that which is unique in every task and reproducing it with that beneficial idealization that characterized the school of the 1860s. It was also he who recognized her talent and sought to promote it in 1862 through an engagement at the court theater in Karlsruhe, where he mostly used her in sentimental amateur roles.
And indeed, the young artist developed rapidly and was soon popular with the public and the press. But she also contributed to expanding her skills through diligence and perseverance and to make her name known outside of the Grand Duchy of Baden through a rich acting career in other places . It was published in Frankfurt am Main in 1865 and in Freiburg i. B., 1869 in Wiesbaden, 1870 in Braunschweig, 1874 in Halberstadt, but since 1884 artistically refined and cleared, she is continuously active at the court theater in Karlsruhe.
She worked there in the field of heroic mothers, but the comedy (bourgeois mothers) is also a familiar field to her and she showed a sure eye for the subtle-comic and knows how to bring discreet humor to best advantage. The artist excelled in particular through good speaking and elegant representation and was especially praised for her portrayal of aristocratic old women.
She was married to the architect and director of the Kunstgewerbeschule Karlsruhe Gustav Kachel , whose father was Ludwig Kachel . Her brother-in-law was the history painter Ludwig Kachel , her Schwipp-brother-in-law (through the marriage of Alice Kachel) was the painter Karl Roux .
