Louise Ranco
Louise Ranco , née Louise Wenzel ( May 26, 1868 in Nuremberg - April 18, 1902 in Altenburg ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Ranco was trained at the Royal Music School in Munich with ( Schirmon , Hasselbeck , Boulliot and Harry ). She began her stage career in 1886 at the Stadttheater in Basel , came to Chemnitz in 1887 , Metz in 1888 , Lübeck in 1889 and Magdeburg in 1890 . From 1891 to 1892 she worked at the Hoftheater in Munich , in 1893 at the Friedrich-Wilhelmstädtschen Theater in Berlin and from 1894 to 1895 in Würzburg . After this time Ranco did not accept a permanent engagement, but made guest appearances on various stages in Germany. Her repertoire was very extensive, including playing "Elsa", "Brunhilde", "Elisabeth", "Venus", "Sieglinde" as well as "Valentine", "Fidelio", "Agathe", "Mignon" etc.
She was married to the tenor Robert Becker .
