Louise Stratten (born May 8, 1968 in Vancouver ; born Louise Beatrice Hoogstraten ) is a Canadian actress and film producer .

Life and accomplishments

Louise Stratten is the younger sister of actress Dorothy Stratten, who also worked as a model and was murdered in 1980 . She made her debut opposite Rob Lowe and Colleen Camp in the 1988 film comedy The Innocence of Molly by Peter Bogdanovich . In the same year she married the director. Directed by Bogdanovich, she starred in the comedy she co-produced Noises Off! - Der nackte Wahnsinn (1992), in the television drama The Wrong Path to Happiness (1997), in the novel adaptation Rescuers - Die Geschichte der Helden (1997) as well as in the thriller NY - Streets of Death (1998) and in the comedy I am you, and you are me (1999). In the Comedy Festival in Cannes (2001) with Anouk Aimée , Greta Scacchi , Maximilian Schell and Ron Silver , she played a couple with her husband. In the same year, the marriage with Bogdanovich was divorced.

Stratten had a bigger role in the 1996 independent horror film The Whispering by Gregory Gieras . The comedy Ninja Cheerleaders , in which she played the mother of one of the main characters, was released in 2008.
