Love? is a synth-pop group from Nuremberg .

The group is assigned to the genres of synth-pop, pop and dark electronic . The band name refers to the elementary question "Love - does that even exist?"

history

Love? by Tom Wunder and Reiner Keller in 1997. The project grew out of the success of the synthpoplastic song In Your Hands by the band Overgament ( better known for its rough sounds). After a TV appearance on Viva TV in the program Vivasion moderated by Stefan Raab , the inquiries regarding the live performed song were large, so work on this project started in 1997.

In the same year the first EP Soundz for Lovers was released . This EP also contained the version of the song In Your Hands (House Mix) played on Vivasion . The second song played on the show was called Hate . In addition, the video of the song Extract was shown for the first time.

Accompanied by live performances, etc. a. with Beborn Beton and De / Vision , the recording of the debut album Unique , which was released in 1998 on Frame Music , began in 1998 . The album was produced by Heiko Maile ( Camouflage) and received high praise from the trade press.

Various appearances in clubs followed, primarily the " black scene ". Between 2000 and 2007 Love? deferred to work on the new Monochild project and again increasingly on Overgament . In 2008 they started to work on new Love? Songs with the producer "Olaf Wollschläger". Through the recommendation of Claus Larsen (Leather Strip) the contact to Emmo.biz Records came about, the material was enthusiastic and it was decided to send the single "This City" including an "Olaf Wollschläger" club mix into the race. Shortly afterwards, the double album "Electronically Yours" was released as a limited special edition including a 3 inch CD with the exclusive Depeche Mode cover song "In your Memory". The single "This City" had already reached the GEWC and DAC charts before, the album shot to number 2 in the DAC charts (German Alternative Charts). The latest release "I Walk Alone" also entered the DAC / GEWC charts again. All publications were supported by promotional videos that implement the respective song themes. 2015 was also the 1st Love? Remix for the band "Touching the Void" / "Apoptygma Berzerk" Song - "In This World Together" created and successfully released on their album "Love, Longing and Loss. The band around" Mark Warner "" Rossetti's Compass "remixed Love ? Song "I Walk Alone" for the EP "I Walk Alone", you also covered the song "Shivering Skin" on your album "Attrition".
