Lucía Sotomayor (born January 10, 2000 ) is a Bolivian sprinter .

Athletic career

Lucía Sotomayor gained her first experience at international championships in 2017 at the U20 South American Championships in Leonora , where she finished fourth in the 400 meter run in 59.58 s. Then she retired at the South American Championships in Luque with 61.83 s in the first round and reached seventh place with the Bolivian 4 x 100 meter relay in 48.75 s. Then she retired at the Pan American U20 Championships in Trujillo with 61.65 s in the lead. In the following year she took part in the South American Games in Cochabamba for the first time , but also retired there with 57.75 s in the preliminary round, as well as at the South American Championships in Lima in 2019 with 58.04 s. She then took part in the U20 South American Championships in Cali , where she retired in the 200-meter run with 26.05 s in the preliminary round and was sixth over 400 meters in 57.64 s. The following year she finished sixth over 400 meters at the South American Indoor Championships in Cochabamba in 57.29 s and won the 4-by-400-meter relay in 4: 00.77 min.
