Luca Berg (born February 3, 1993 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a former German snowboarder . She started in the snowboard cross discipline and is the sister of Paul Berg .

Career

Berg, who started for SC Konstanz, completed her first races in the European Cup in St. Gallenkirch in January 2009 and finished 40th and 19th. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 in Szczyrk , she won 25th place in the parallel giant slalom and eighth place in snowboard cross. At the Junior World Championships 2010 in Cardrona she came in 13th place and at the Junior World Championships 2011 in Chiesa in Valmalenco on 14th place. She made her debut in the World Cup in March 2011 in Chiesa in Valmalenco, which she finished in 20th place. In the 2011/12 season she achieved seven top ten placements, including two third places, eighth place in the snowboard cross ranking in the European Cup. At the Junior World Championships in 2012 in the Sierra Nevada , she came in 13th place. In the 2013/14 season she came in second and once in third place in the European Cup and thus finished ninth in the snowboard cross ranking in the European Cup. In December 2013 she reached eighth place in Lake Louise, her first and only top ten placement in the World Cup, thus achieving national qualification for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . Due to missing points for an international quota place, she missed a participation in Sochi. After the 2014/15 season, she ended her career after several injuries.
