Luca Castiglia (born March 17, 1989 in Ceva ( CN ), Italy ) is an Italian football player .

Castiglia comes from the youth department of Juventus Turin . He plays in the central midfield , usually takes on the role of the game designer and is therefore often compared to Andrea Pirlo .

Career

Luca Castiglia moved from Torino Calcio to local rivals Juventus in the summer of 2005 . There he immediately won the Italian championship in the Allievi Nazionali age group in his first season , comparable to the B-youth in Germany. In 2009 Castiglia won the prestigious Coppa Carnevale in Viareggio with the Primavera , the highest youth team .

Already on January 27, 2008 Castiglia made his debut in the professional team of Juve when he came on for Pavel Nedvěd in the 3-1 away win in the Serie A game at AS Livorno shortly before the end .

For the 2009/10 season Castiglia was the AC Cesena in Serie B on loan. The Cavallucci Marini had a purchase option, but the loan deal was already terminated in January 2010, as the midfielder was injured in Cesena only on one use. Castiglia was awarded for the second half of the season to AC Reggiana in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione , for which he completed eight league games.

In July 2010 it was awarded again, this time to the third division club FC Esperia Viareggio .
