Ceva ( Piedmontese Seva ) is a municipality with 5677 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN), Piedmont region .
geography
The place is 49 km from the provincial capital Cuneo on the banks of the Tanaro River at an altitude of 376 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 42.96 km² .
The neighboring municipalities are Battifollo , Castellino Tanaro , Lesegno , Mombasiglio , Nucetto , Paroldo , Perlo , Priero , Roascio , Sale delle Langhe , Sale San Giovanni and Scagnello .

traffic
Ceva has a train station on the Turin - Savona railway line . From here, the Ceva – Ormea railway branches off , but passenger transport was discontinued in 2012. However, the route is not officially closed.
The A6 autostrada , to which Ceva is connected by junction 81, runs south of the village .
Culinary specialty
Viticulture is practiced at Ceva . The berries of the Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay grape varieties can be used to make Alta Langa sparkling wine .
