Alta Langa is the name for an Italian sparkling wine with the status of a controlled and guaranteed designation of origin - Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG for short, updated on March 9, 2011) from 142 municipalities in the provinces of Cuneo , Asti and Alessandria , Piedmont .
