Prunetto ( Piedmontese Prunèj or Prinaj ) is a municipality with 424 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN), Piedmont region .

geography

Prunetto lies on a ridge between the Bórmida valley and the Uzzone valley. The place belongs to the Alta Langa , a promontory of the Ligurian Apennines . It is part of the Comunità Montana Langa Valli Bórmida .

The neighboring municipalities are Castelletto Uzzone , Gorzegno , Gottasecca , Levice , Mombarcaro and Monesiglio .

Typical products

Prunetto is located in the Piedmontese hazelnut growing area . Tuma di Prunetto is produced as a typical cheese. Viticulture is practiced in the vicinity of Prunetto. The berries of the Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay grape varieties can be used to make Alta Langa sparkling wine .
