Caprauna ( Piedmontese and Ligurian Cravaun-a ) is a municipality with 92 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN), Piedmont region .

The municipality consists of the districts of Poggio, Chiazzuola, Ruora and Case sottane. The neighboring municipalities are Alto , Aquila d'Arroscia , Armo , Borghetto d'Arroscia , Ormea and Pieve di Teco . The patron saint of the place is Sant'Antonino di Apamea .

The place is at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level and, although it is already south of the main Alpine ridge , belongs to the Piedmontese Comunità montana Alta Val Tanaro . The municipality covers an area of ​​10  km² .
