Marmora is an Italian commune with 60 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Cuneo (CN) in Piedmont .

The neighboring municipalities are Canosio , Castelmagno , Celle di Macra , Demonte , Macra , Prazzo , Sambuco and Stroppo .

The municipality covers an area of ​​41 km² .

The place houses the most important library in the Maira Valley , the Biblioteca del Monastero benedettino , which is located at an altitude of 1548 m and is therefore the highest library in Europe. The Benedictine Sergio De Piccoli, who lived in Marmora from 1978 to 2014, collected 62,000 works and bequeathed them to the community in 2007.
