Barolo is an Italian commune with 680 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region . The famous red wine of the same name is grown here. The Cannubi hill is one of the most famous wine-growing areas within the municipality , as it has been cultivated with Nebbiolo grapes since Roman times. Barolo is the holder of the Bandiera Arancione of the TCI .
