Abbey Church of Santi Pietro e Colombano

The Benedictine - Abbey Santi Pietro e Colombano was founded according to legend, in the 8th century. After being destroyed by the Saracens , it was rebuilt in 1040. Parts of the structure of the monastery church still come from this Romanesque construction phase, whereby the appearance is characterized by various later conversions. The frescoes, which document the development from the Romanesque to the Gothic to the Renaissance (works by Hans Clemer ) are remarkable .

The parish church from the second half of the 20th century is, like the abbey church, consecrated to Saints Peter and Columban .

A third church from the 18th century is next to the parish hall. It is decorated with baroque facade paintings.
