Sanfront ( Occitan Sanfrount ) is a municipality with 2340 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN), Piedmont region . It is located on the upper reaches of the Po, about 55 km south of Turin .

Sanfront has been a member of the Comunità Montana Valli Po, Bronda e Infernotto mountain community since 2006 , which was expanded in 2008 to become the Comunità Montana Valli Po, Bronda, Infernotto e Varaita .

The place is at the end of the Valle Po (Italian: Bassa Valle Po ), about 10 km before the mountain valley opens into the Po Valley . The Po, which rises in the Cottian Alps, flows northeast of the town and begins to meander in the now over 500 m wide valley floor .

Strada Statale 662 (SS 622 or "Via Valle Po") runs through the valley - here on the northern bank of the river near the neighboring town of Rifreddo - which leads to the western mountains or east via Saluzzo to Turin.
