Viticulture
La Morra is one of the most important wine-growing communities in Piedmont. Many of the best wines in the Barolo region come from here . The winemakers Elio Altare and Roberto Voerzio have their wineries here. The wine museum is well worth a visit. In La Morra, vines are also grown for Dolcetto d'Alba , a red wine with DOC status.
Attractions
Parish partnership
La Morra maintains a partnership with the city of Sulzburg in the southwest of the German state of Baden-Württemberg . The first contacts between the communities came about in 1992 when Antonio Esposito (Restaurant La Vigna / Sulzburg) and Hilmar Czwartek (Winzergenossenschaft Laufen) visited Gianni Voerzio (winemaker in La Morra) and Giovanni Bosco (Mayor of La Morra). The official twinning of the two communities took place in 2003 with the signing of the documents by the two mayors Peter Wehrle for Sulzburg and Giovanni Bosco for La Morra.
