Rifreddo is a municipality with 1056 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN), Piedmont region , about 50 km south of Turin .

geography

The place is at the end of the Valle Po (Italian: Bassa Valle Po ), just before the mountain valley opens into the Po Valley . The Po, which rises in the Cottian Alps, flows south-west of the village and begins to meander here at the valley exit. Strada Statale 662 (SS 622 or "Via Valle Po") also runs between town and river , leading into the western mountains or via Saluzzo to Turin.

The municipality covers an area of ​​6 km² . The main town is 420–450 m above sea level.

The neighboring communities are Envie , Gambasca , Revello and Sanfront .
