Aisone ( Piedmontese Aison , Occitan Aizoun ) is an Italian commune with 216 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Cuneo (CN) in the Piedmont region .

The municipality includes the villages of Forani and Lucerna . The neighboring municipalities are Demonte , Valdieri and Vinadio .

geography

The place is 31 kilometers from the provincial capital Cuneo at an altitude of 834 m above sea level in the mountain valley Valle Stura di Demonte , which is part of the Parco delle Alpi Marittime regional park . The municipality covers an area of ​​36.87 km² .

economy

The area is dominated by agriculture, mainly arable and fruit growing. New developments also include the rearing of pigs and cattle. The area is also trying to promote tourism.
