Canelli ( Piedmontese : Canèj ) is a municipality with 10,392 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Asti (AT), Piedmont region .
The patron saint of the place is the apostle Thomas .

geography

The place is located at an altitude of 157 m on the banks of the mountain river Belbo (river system Tanaro / Po), between the hills of Asti and the Langhe . The municipality covers an area of ​​23 km² .
