The municipality covers an area of ten km² . The municipality is part of the Comunità Collinare Val Rilate and the administrative seat of the administrative community.
The districts ( frazioni ) include Nocciola and Regione Reale.

Surroundings
About two kilometers to the north is the Romanesque Chiesa dei Santi Nazario e Celso , built as a simple hall church towards the middle of the 12th century . It is decorated all around with the alternation of red brick and white limestone , which is typical of Monferrato , but also with geometric and floral motifs on the biforias , roof edges and portals.
