Nice (wine)

Nice is a red wine from the Italian province of Asti in Piedmont . The growing area is located in and around the eponymous municipality of Nizza Monferrato .

The wine has had a "controlled and guaranteed designation of origin " ( Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita - DOCG) since 2019 , approved by the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/953 of May 22, 2019

Cultivation

The approved vineyards spread over the municipalities of Agliano Terme , Belveglio , Calamandrana , Castel Boglione , Castelnuovo Belbo , Castelnuovo Calcea , Castelnuovo Rocchero , Cortiglione , Incisa Scapaccino , Mombaruzzo , Mombercelli , Nizza Monferrato , Vaglio Serra , Vinchio , Bruno , Rocchetta Palafea , Moasca and San Marzano Oliveto .
